How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your FerryShare account at any time directly from the app:
- Open the FerryShare app or go to ferryshare.com/app
- Sign in to your account
- Tap your profile photo (top right)
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion
A 24-hour cooling period applies before your account is permanently deleted. You may cancel the deletion within 24 hours by signing back in.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently deleted within 30 days:
- Your name and email address
- Your profile photo
- Your phone number
- Your vehicle information
- Your pickup and dropoff address history
- Your chat messages
- Your ride history
- Your GreenTag points and tier status
- Your platform credits balance
- Your identity verification status
- Your gender preference settings
- Your luggage preferences
- Your YVR toggle preference
What We Retain
The following data may be retained after account deletion for legal, tax, and platform safety purposes for up to 7 years:
- Transaction records (booking fees paid through Stripe)
- Strike and suspension records (for platform safety)
- Dispute resolution records
- Any data required by applicable law
